Amma-in pictures

They say a picture conveys a thousand words. I've put together some photos of my mother. I think it encapsulates her essence, a warm-hearted fun loving individual, loving wife, devoted mother, dedicated teacher. My brother and I were lucky we had such amazing parents. They didn't live long enough but I think they managed to instill their values in us.

Feisty, feisty Amma

How she loved dance and music

Absolutely loved the first photo of your amma. Also your 'Worli peepa'. Those ovelapping white diamond shapes at the top, How did you do it? That looks difficut! And overall very professional-looking.
The onsies are cute too.
Looking forward to reading your blog regularly..:)

Hello,
Its nice to see pictures of Mrs P.D - I was her student and currently live in philadelphia. She is a really sweet person and so are you (from what I gather reading your blogs) - Your mom will always be in the memory of all her students.

IQA,
that was such a fine gesture. Your mom looks so cute and self assured. Sorry she had to leave much before her time. But accidents are part of life and though it is not easy one has to get on with life.

Hi,Got to your blog from Artnavy's.
Can you believe it, I used to be a student of your Dad in PU.I visited your house once after graduating (with 3 other students of his). I have such fond memories of Dr.D and seeing these pictures of your amma & appa made me nostalgic. I even attended your wedding in Chennai :)

Kind of upset... You had the courage to face it all. I too lost a baby at the end of 9th month, just a week before my due date.

You mom looks really beautiful.. God takes away people whom he loves the most...

May God be with you.... I have nothing more to say. Cant hold back my tears.

Hi akka (& dinesh)

your mom was such a wonderful person.......i was her student and will not be what i am today with out her influence in my life.

its true that your mom did not live long, but she had an influence what many can not have in multiple life times. oh....there are just not enough adjectives to describe her passion for teaching, her concern/ genuine care, love and interest for her students ( i personally experienced all of this)

i can't think of my school life without your mom being right there on top and i terribly regret the fact that i did not interact much with her once i passed out of school in 1998.............i miss her and feel her absence very much today.

i am not sure if there is a heaven, but i am sure it can be without PD mam being there.

my best wishes to you, dinesh and family, hope both of you continue blogging, cause it feels good to follow what PD mam's children are doing.

regards and best wishes
Hari Viswanath
